Jacki Norrie

Expert Bridal Hair & Makeup Artist / Founder

Jacki grew up south of Boston in quaint oceanfront community where she continues to primarily reside with her teenage daughter, Samantha. She enjoys taking her six dogs on long walks on the beach, hanging out watching movies and just “being with” Samantha. Community service is important to Jacki – she was a volunteer firefighter/EMT for 15 years for her local fire department and served six years in town government as Chairman of the town’s Finance Committee. As her chosen career, Jacki is the founder and Lead Hair and Makeup Specialist of Wedding Tresses, Inc.

“I adore what I do. Honestly. For me, it is deeply rewarding to assist women in defining what “beauty” means to them on a personal level and to be allowed to help her discover that on the most wonderful day of her life is the icing on the cake. I have spent the better part of two decades working to understand intimately the relationship between bone structure, hair design and makeup artistry. It is my pleasure to impart what I have learned to allow others to feel their most beautiful.”, Jacki shares.

That dedication to her craft and fine-tuning of her skills has allowed Jacki to be recognized on a national level and has been invited to blog as an Expert Author for Wedding Aces, Martha Stewart Weddings and WedLoft.   Her editorial work currently graces the covers of Sea Coast Weddings and  I Do, Destination Weddings and within the “pages” of Style Me Pretty, Beantown Bride, and within the magazines The Knot, Boston Weddings, Bliss Celebration, Southern New England Wedding Guide and Brides.

Jacki is often found working with brides all over the country and in far off destination island wedding locations.

That’s a good post.

Hello,
I am getting married at the Hampshire House in Boston on October 4, 2014. I am looking for someone to come to my hotel to do my hair, my mother’s, future mother, all my bridesmaids (6) and possibly the 2 flower girls. I was hoping you could tell me how many stylists I would need, how many hours it would take and approximately how much it would cost. Is the cost based simply on number or hours and/or complexity of hair styles?
I am also interested in having my, my sister’s, and my mother’s makeup done at the venue prior to pictures. Again could you tell me how long the process should take and the approximate cost.
My final question is who decides which hair stylist and makeup artist works my wedding? Do each have specific specialties or are there levels of skill which mean differing prices?

I look forward to hearing from you,
Whitney Ogas
