Wedding Tresses was founded by professional hair-stylist Jacki Norrie as a way to fill a need within the community. For seventeen years Jacki has worked with brides and noticed a stark difference between brides who travel to a salon and those who have the salon travel to them: Stress.

Brides who have their beauty experts come to them are significantly more relaxed and restful than those who battle traffic, crowded salons, and short time factors. It was also noticed that the experts themselves were more relaxed and had more patience if things got harried.

There are few salons in this region who offer brides a choice. Wedding Tresses was created for this reason. By letting us come to you, we help you create an atmosphere of happiness and relaxation on your wedding day, after all, this should be the most joyous day of your life.

Wedding Tresses is the only company devoted to On Location wedding services. We are not a salon that offers bridal beauty services as an extra; this is what we do. Because of that, brides receive the best in the business with the most attention to detail. Our artists skills are honed to perfection weekly with continuous exposure to the many faces and hair textures of our diverse community. We have learned tricks and techniques to ensure On Location is indeed the stress-free alternative.

The Artists - Who are we?

The Wedding Tresses Teams of Artists are made up of professional Hair Designers and Makeup Artists.

The makeup team is comprised of true artists Michelle Kehoe, Christopher Therrien, Krisann Kiley, and Kayla Manchester who have a deep love of makeup and of making women feel beautiful. Each of these men and women has dedicated their careers to perfecting their skill in wedding makeup application and honing their 'eye' by training with some of the top makeup artists in the industry and working for makeup giants Clinique, Channel, Estee Lauder and MAC on the famed Newbury Street in Boston. Kayla, Wedding Tresses Principal Makeup Artist, keeps in close contact with top wedding photographers in Boston and New York ensuring our photography makeup skills evolve as trends in photography change.

The hair team boasts the amazing talents of Christine Enwright, Sara Miles, Brittany Peard, and Ann Walsh. Christine and Ann both have worked and maintained strong client followings in the hair salon setting for over twenty years. Each of them has dedicated a significant portion of their training throughout their careers to formal occasion hair design and have emerged as two of the top wedding hair designers in Boston. Ann is routinely booked a year in advance with the most well known wedding planners securing her services for their brides early in the planning process. Christine's work, both hair and makeup, has been featured in the magazines The Knot and Southern New England Wedding Guide and was a special invitational makeup/hair artist for the film Bride Wars. As an added bonus, Christine has extensive experience styling and fitting hair additions and wigs to clients in need ensuring their 'look' is balanced and natural. Sara has spent the past seven years working exclusively with brides on Block Island gaining the reputation of creating exquisite, soft, touchable Bridal Updo's. Her intimate knowledge of island weddings makes her the ultimate choice for destination brides. Beginning her training at her mother's knee, Brittany Peard has been dabbling and perfecting bridal hair for years, and gained her professional experience studying from and working with Bridal Hair Expert, Jacki Norrie.

Jacki Norrie, our founder, honed her skills and developed her signature styles working on Cape Cod in a boutique-style salon. Throughout the 90's she was been known throughout Cape Cod and Boston as the wedding hair designer with clients booking 1-2 years in advance. Makeup naturally followed in the course of her career progression and has culminated in the launching of her own line of mineral makeup. Jacki's work has been seen on Fox 25 Morning Show, in the movie Bride Wars, within the pages of magazines such as Boston Brides, Cape Cod Bride, Newport Bride and Southern New England Wedding Guide. Her brides are often used in the 'Real Weddings" section in bridal magazines - you can see two of this year's brides in Real Simple Weddings and The Knot. She is often calles upon to offer quotes in articles relating to beauty and makeovers, most recently in the Boston Globe, The New York Times, and Cape Cod Bride.

In 2008 Jacki Norrie was honored by being recognized by Martha Stewart Weddings and WeddingWire.com as an Expert in the wedding hair and makeup industry. She has been asked by the national wedding websites to share tips, tricks and her vast knowledge as a national blogger of Bridal Beauty and Health on their joint venture, WeddingAces.com. In that same year she was elected by her peers to serve on the Board of Directors of the exclusive Boston Wedding Group. where she still currently serves. Jacki offers both hair and makeup services throughout New England and is available for destinations worldwide.

Where are we?

Wedding Tresses is an on location company - In other words, we come to you. We have three Studios in Massachusetts and Rhode Island that are available to brides for the purposes of performing Trial Runs. When it is time to practice the bridal hair style and bridal makeup brides have the choice of which Studio she would like to come to.

Wedding Tresses Massachusetts, our base of business operations, is located south of Boston, north of Cape Cod near Plymouth on Main Street in Plympton.
Wedding Tresses Boston is conveniently situated on famed Newbury Street.
Wedding Tresses Rhode Island is located on Bellevue Avenue in historic Newport.

Brides also have the option of choosing to have us come to them for the practice Trial Run at her location (home, hotel, venue or office). In short, Wedding Tresses is wherever the bride needs us to be.
